Jackets

So summer has officially hit me. Mostly, because I'm in Florida and just got my shoulders sunburnt. The last time I got sunburned was in Hawaii almost 7 yrs ago when I took a 3 hr long nap in a cloudless sky... This burn is not so bad, but still painful ugh.

Anyway, I wanted to share w. you the sweet ass leather jacket from Balmain a la Tommy Ton

So my personal style is a good, huge, billow-ly tank or t (think a.wang) and shorts. Some sweet boots and an awesome fitted jacket. 10 out of 2340 times you'll see me in this. I like creating the silhouette with smaller over bigger. Does that make sense?

Ok so I tagged this as what not to wear, but it's really how not to stand. (or make that kind of face)

bug eye-ed

I meant to find a blog and ended up wasting 2 hours reading blogs.... mainly ones I've favourited. Anyway, here's a picture of AA.Darling with his sunglasses, a find he got on EBay. When he showed them to me he totally made me Shut the F*ck Up.

Jane from Sea of Shoes purchased them on EBay too around the same time he did.

I saw one or two people wearing the same shaped glasses in the River North area, and if not mistaken there are some sweet ones at the Ralph Lauren store on Chicago and Michigan in tortoise shell.

I am AA. Darling (not to be confused with blog founder - A. Darling)

I would like to formally introduce myself by posting a NOT OKAY fashion post. I have a keen eye for those who know how to do it... but I have a better eye for those who DON'T. So janky Chicago dressers - beware. Your Ugg booted - North Faced - elastic pant fat ass is on my radar, and I have no mercy.

This woman must have been sucking clown dick when she put this outfit on this morning. The worst part is that you know the crop colored sock with the faggy stripped sandal combination is intentional!! Let's just say I'm not surprised at all that she is carrying a bag from The Gap. This is what I get for taking public transportation. (Since this day my taxi budget has dramatically increased)

Whoever thought of making a harness so that it'd be easier for people to tote around their laptops OPEN while they walk and sit needs to be shot. Why on heaven and earth would you do this to yourself?!

You are not homeless, or very poor [trust me she wasn't] there is no excuse for this jacket with a pink hoody. Those pants have got to go too, on the plus side she had a really pretty bun

Bonnie & Clyde Spring Show

The Bonnie&Clyde show was sometime in early May, I think, and was at Manor Nightclub. It's an alright club, but the crowd they attract is weird. Think old men in their late 30's and skanky girls in their early 20's. It was their second show this year, the first being at Lumen when they debuted the Christian Siriano ready to wear.

Anyway, these pictures are of AA.Darling & C.Darling. We were shopping on Oak and met up with Alex after he got off work. It was a very uncommonly gorgeous day for May...

So I wanted to be The Debonaires, but thedebonaires.blogspot.com was taken up by some band or whatever so C.Darling wanted to be 'The Darlings' and so here we are....The Darling Project bringing to you a little taste of our fashion sense.
